Abstract

The present case study examines the operation path, strategic choice, and growth issues of Shandar Bakers, which is a local sweets and bakery shop located in Sargodha. Being a family business, Shandar Bakers has developed a reputation on the provision of fresh and high-quality sweets, baked goods, and traditional sweets to its customers all over the city. The paper examines how the company has grown to become a small shop to a local brand and its ability to operate, control quality, customer experience and competition in the market on a daily basis. Through its analysis of the strategic blunders and resource limitation and reaction to the pressure of operations within the bakery, this case can be useful in examining the dynamics within the small-to-medium retail food business in Pakistan. Students and practitioners will be better informed on how such businesses can continue their growth, continue to achieve and uphold freshness standards, and shift according to changing consumer demands.
